Absolutely! For example I addressed Peter Weller as Dr. Peter Weller. He ate it up. He would put any inscription I wanted on my items.




Have you ever asked a celebrity to sign their full name? What happened?

I have asked a few athletes and actors. They tell me its quicker with the abbreviated signature and if they do it for me then they have to do it for everyone.




What is the biggest misconceptions when it comes to people that sell autographs?

That they are just doing it for the money. I sell autographs but I enjoy meeting the actors. I enjoy getting that graph and even keeping some for myself. Not everything I get I sell.




What tips would you offer for someone who wants to get started collecting in person autographs?

Don't get discouraged if you get turned down right away. You will have plenty of successes. Just be cordial and respectful of the person you are asking and you will get the graph.




Do you keep any of the autographs you obtain for yourself?

If I am getting a custom prop or photo done, I will keep it. Or if the person does not come around often and I am a big fan I will.




How do you avoid having a celebrity personalize the autographs?

I just tell them that I don't collect stuff that is personalized in my collection.




How do you respond when a celebrity assumes you're an eBay dealer?

I usually tell them yes I am and that I am going to sell their signature for a million dollars so I can retire. Its usually a good ice breaker. Sounds silly but a lot of times they they laugh and continue signing.




How do you keep organized with 100s of photos when you're out graphing?

I keep my photos taped to foam boards and then put a certain amount in boxes that were designed to hold large photos.




What is the biggest changes in the autograph scene since you first started?

One is the variety of items that get autographed now. I used to only really see photos signed. Now there are all kinds of props, photos, books etc. Also the amount of different pens used. From sharpies to all the different pain pens, oil and water based.




What is the most autographs you've ever obtained from one person during a single occasion?
