Just have fun. The moment it stops being fun, stop. There are enough other hobbies in the world to only invest your time in stuff you love. Don't get stuck in a rut. So in a nutshell: enjoy it until you don't.

From 2012 to now, it's not massively different outside of more random people who want to give it a try. The biggest change I've seen is in global interest in autographs -- the con industry has changed overall value significantly.

Olivia Thirlby at the "Dredd" TIFF premiere in 2012. The first photo I ever got signed (which is more what I count as my real "first") was Colin Firth at the "Arthur Newman" TIFF premiere in 2012.

I'd say that would have to be a toss-up between crushing the Force Awakens LA premiere, randomly coming across Spielberg when I had stuff for him, getting Eastwood, or getting Alan Rickman.
