She began her career as an actress in 1956 and includes theatre and television work in addition to many film appearances. In 1961 she appeared as Helen Keller in the William Gibson play, The Miracle Worker. In 1962 she appeared as Anne in the thriller Don\'t Talk to Strange Men. In 1971, she appeared in an episode of Doctor at Large.
