Alex Henry was selected in the 3rd round, 67th overall, in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft by the Edmonton Oilers from the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League. Henry played his first professional season in the 1999–00 season with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL.\n', '

Henry made his NHL debut with the Oilers in the 2002–03 season, playing in only three games before he was placed on waivers to be claimed by the Washington Capitals on October 24, 2002. Henry went on to play 38 games with the Capitals.\n', '
