Alexander John Ligertwood (Lĭ-jərt-wood) (born 18 December 1946) is a Scottish singer, guitarist and drummer.
Ligertwood was born in Glasgow, Scotland.
He is best known as the lead vocalist of Santana, with five different stints from 1979 to 1994, which included the US Festival in 1982. He is credited on songs by Santana such as "All I Ever Wanted", "You Know That I Love You", "Winning" and "Hold On".
