Prieto was originally signed by the Kansas City Royals as an amateur free agent in 1992 and played in their Minor League system through 2002, when he joined the Twins organization until 2004. After that, he spent six seasons in the minors with several teams, including stints with the Royals, Phillies and Red Sox organizations, retiring in 2010.\n', '
