Alison Wright (born 12 July 1976) is an English actress. She is best known for her role on the television series The Americans, for which she was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award in 2017. Wright was born in Sunderland and raised there by adoptive parents. She began dancing at a young age. She studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and at The Barrow Group in New York City.\n', '
