Sciorra was born in Brooklyn, New York, to a fashion stylist mother and a veterinarian father. Her father is Italian, and her mother is Cuban. Sciorra studied dance as a child, and later took drama lessons at the Herbert Berghof Studio and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.\n', '
