Bibens-Dirkx attended McNary High School in Keizer, Oregon, Chemeketa Community College, and later the University of Portland. He was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 16th round of the 2006 Major League Baseball draft.\n', '
Bibens-Dirkx began his professional career in 2006, splitting time between the short season Everett AquaSox, the Class-A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and the Triple-A Tacoma Rainiers. He went a combined 2-2 with a 1.64 ERA and five saves in 38โ1โ3 innings pitched. In 2007 Bibens-Dirkx played for the Class-A Advanced High Desert Mavericks of the California League. He went 3-1 with a 4.42 ERA, 26 strikeouts and eight saves. Bibens-Dirkx split the 2008 season between the High Desert Mavericks and the Rookie level Peoria Mariners. He was placed on the disabled list twice and made rehab starts in Peoria. He went a combined 3-1 with a 7.06 ERA in 38 games.\n', '
