Glenwright\'s professional hockey career began in 1968, with the Kitchener Rangers in the Ontario Hockey Association (OHA). The following year, he was drafted in the fifth round by the St. Louis Blues in the 1969 NHL Amateur Draft as the 54th overall pick. After being evaluated by a team doctor, he was loaned to the American Hockey League (AHL) for the 1970-71 season. Glenwright did not play in the NHL.
