William Edgar "Bud" Hardin (June 14, 1922 – July 28, 1997) was an American professional baseball player. Although he played professionally for 13 seasons (1942; 1946–1957), Hardin appeared in only three Major League games as a shortstop, second baseman and pinch hitter for the 1952 Chicago Cubs. The native of Shelby, North Carolina, threw and batted right-handed, stood 5 feet 10 inches (1.78 m) tall and weighed 165 pounds (75 kg). He served in the United States Army during World War II.
