Byron Anton Scott (born March 28, 1961) is an American professional basketball former head coach and player. He last coached the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). As a player, he won three NBA championships with the Lakers during their Showtime era in the 1980s.\n', '
Scott grew up in Inglewood, California and played at Morningside High School, in the shadow of what was then the Lakers\' home arena, The Forum. He played college basketball at Arizona State University for three years, then left after his junior year to play in the NBA.\n', '
