Prior to the start of his senior year, Ware received national recognition as one of 50 players on the Wooden Award preseason watch list. In the 2012 Big West Men\'s Basketball Tournament championship game, he scored 33 points against UC Santa Barbara to lead his team to the 2012 NCAA Tournament.
