César Vargas (born December 30, 1991) is a Mexican professional baseball pitcher for the Sultanes de Monterrey of the Mexican League. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the San Diego Padres.\n', '

He signed with the San Diego Padres in November 2015. On April 23, he was called up to the major leagues to start in place of the injured Robbie Erlin, making his MLB debut. After making six starts for the Padres, Vargas went on the disabled list with a sore elbow.\n', '
