Mails pitched for three pennant winning teams—the 1916 Robins, the 1920 Indians and the 1926 Cardinals. He helped the Indians win the 1920 World Series after being acquired in a minor-league trade in August, 1920, appearing in 9 games while posting a record of 7-0 and an ERA of 1.85 as the Indians battled the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees in a tight pennant race. He pitched a 1-0 complete game shutout of Brooklyn in Game 6 of the 1920 World Series; he pitched 6.2 innings of relief in Game 3, allowing no runs, and posting a 0.00 ERA for his two Series appearances.\n', '
He appeared in only 11 games for the 1916 Robins, with a record of 0-1, and did not appear in the 1916 World Series, which the Robins lost. He appeared in only one game for the 1926 Cardinals, posting a record of 0-1, and did not pitch in the 1926 World Series, which the Cardinals won.\n', '
