Francellis "Frankie" Montas Luna (born March 21, 1993) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher for the Oakland Athletics of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played in MLB for the Chicago White Sox.\n', '
Montas signed as an amateur free agent with the Boston Red Sox in 2009, receiving a $75,000 signing bonus. He played in the minor leagues for the Red Sox\' organization for the Gulf Coast Red Sox and Lowell Spinners in 2012, and for the Greenville Drive in 2013.\n', '
Before the 2013 trade deadline, the Red Sox traded Montas and fellow minor leaguers J. B. Wendelken and Cleuluis Rondon to the Chicago White Sox in a three-team trade, where Jake Peavy went from the White Sox to the Red Sox, José Iglesias went from the Red Sox to the Detroit Tigers, Avisail García went from the Tigers to the White Sox, and Brayan Villarreal went from the Tigers to the Red Sox. The White Sox assigned Montas to the Kannapolis Intimidators, also in the SAL.\n', '
