Gerald Jermaine Wallace (born July 23, 1982) is an American retired professional basketball player. He was named an NBA All-Star and voted to the NBA All-Defensive First Team while with the Charlotte Bobcats in 2010. He played college basketball with the Alabama Crimson Tide.\n', '
Wallace attended Childersburg High School in Childersburg, Alabama, where he had a very successful career. For his senior season efforts, he was named the Naismith Prep Player of the Year, an honor given to the best high school basketball player.\n', '
Wallace attended the University of Alabama for one season before declaring himself eligible for the 2001 NBA draft. Wallace was drafted in the first round as the 25th overall pick. In 2000โ01, he averaged 9.8 points and 6.0 rebounds per game.\n', '
