Isabella Laughland (born 1990/1991) is an English actress having had appearances in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (film) (2009), Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010) and Part 2 (2011), Now Is Good (2012), Urban Hymn (2015), Chubby Funny (2016), Slaughterhouse Rulez (2018), and Good Luck to You, Leo Grande (2022). She has starred in on television in The Inbetweeners (2008), Black Mirror in Fifteen Million Merits, Lewis (2015), Chimerica and The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (voice) (2019), Ghosts and Trigonometry (2020), Anne Boleyn (2021), and Four Lives (2022).
Laughland is a regular performer in theatre, National Theatre Live - The Last of the Haussmans (2012), and in 2010 was nominated for Outstanding Newcomer at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards, for her performance in Nick Payne’s Wanderlust at the Royal Court Theatre.
Laughland was raised in Twickenham, London, with her parents and brother Oliver. Her late father, Nick Laughland (1951-2020) was a director for television series such as Lovejoy, Boon and Brookside, and her mother Nadira is a casting director. As a teenager, Laughland attended a drama group hosted each Saturday by the Young Blood Theatre Company at the Riverside Studios, Hammersmith, however, her mother insisted that she take her GCSE’s before entering a career in acting. Laughland further developed her acting skills at the National Youth Theatre, London.
