Lamabe also served as head baseball coach of the Jacksonville University from 1974 to 1978 compiling a record of 118–65. He was head coach of the LSU Tigers baseball team from 1979 until 1983 and compiled a record of 134–115. He was the first full-time head baseball coach in the history of the LSU baseball program and was replaced as head coach by Skip Bertman.\n', '
Lamabe is a member of the University of Vermont Athletic Hall of Fame and the Jacksonville University Athletic Hall of Fame.\n', '
