Jarrod Reed Uthoff (born May 19, 1993) is an American professional basketball player for Zenit Saint Petersburg of the VTB United League. He had also played three seasons of college basketball for Iowa.\n', '
Uthoff starred at Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids, earning Iowa Mr. Basketball honors as the top high school player in the state as a senior in 2011.\n', '
Uthoff committed to the University of Wisconsin, where he sat out the 2011โ12 season as a redshirt. He decided to transfer in the off-season. His case received national press as Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan originally barred the player from transferring to 26 different schools. After heavy public scrutiny, Ryan reduced his restrictions to only cover the Big Ten Conference. Uthoff ultimately chose Iowa, a Big Ten school, opting to pay his own way in the 2012โ13 season as he sat out the year as a transfer per NCAA regulations.\n', '
