Jerry Austin Narron (born January 15, 1956) is an American professional baseball player, manager, and current bench coach for the Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball (MLB).\n', '
During an 8-year playing career, primarily as a catcher, he played from 1979 to 1987 for three major league teams. During a 7-year managing career, he managed from 2001 to 2007 for the Texas Rangers and the Cincinnati Reds. Narron was the third base coach for Israel at the 2017 World Baseball Classic.\n', '
Narron was born in Goldsboro, North Carolina. He is a Christian Zionist. His father John was employed as a salesman and floor layer for the Isaacs-Kahn Furniture Company in Goldsboro. He is a nephew of former major league catcher Sam Narron. \n', '
