Jim Michaels (born September 12, 1965) is an American television producer. He is the son of Anna Mae and Robert Michaels and was raised in the suburbs of Des Plaines and Arlington Heights. Michaels graduated from John Hersey High School in Arlington Heights, Illinois, and attended the University of Evansville and graduated with a degree in business. Michaels started and ran the in house Computer Graphics department at MCA/Universal Studios.
While working in the word of computer graphics, Jim worked on such tv sereies as Whiz Kids, Airwolf,Knight Rider,Amazing Stories, Street Hawk, Otherworld, Misfits of Science, A year in the Life, Miami Vice, Magnum p.i., Simon & Simon, The Twilight Zone, Murder She Wrote, The Return of Marcus Welby, Black's Magic, The Return of the Six Million Man and features films as Weird Science, Stick, Brewster's Millions and Back to the Future Part II
Michaels next moved into the role of a post production supervisor for Studio 5B and Pee Wee's Playhouse
