Bickerton joined the Challenge Tour, Europe\'s second tier professional golf tour, in 1993. He won the 1994 Gore-Tex Challenge on his way to 6th on the season ending money list, which gave him automatic promotion to the European Tour for 1995. He initially struggled to establish himself at Europe\'s top level, returning to the Challenge Tour in 1997. In 1998, he again finished 6th in the rankings to gain his European Tour card, which he has kept ever since.\n', '
