Bucha made his MLB debut in 1948 with the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1952 he was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the Rule 5 draft. He was traded, along with Chuck Kress and Ernie Nevel to the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1954, in exchange for Wayne Belardi.\n', '
