Majors was born in Dallas, Texas. His father is a pastor. Jonathan attended Duncanville High School where he won numerous awards for acting in One Act Play and TFA Tournaments. He graduated from high school in 2008. Majors studied for his bachelor\'s degree at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and later, attended the Yale School of Drama as a graduate acting student.
