Kevin Michael Shattenkirk (born January 29, 1989) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman for the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL). He previously played in the NHL for the Colorado Avalanche, St. Louis Blues and Washington Capitals. Shattenkirk was drafted 14th overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the Colorado Avalanche. He played youth hockey with the New Jersey Devils Youth Hockey Club before attending The Brunswick School in Greenwich, Connecticut.
