Huras turned pro in 1975, when he was picked by the New York Rangers in the NHL draft (5th round, 84th overall). He spent some time in the International Hockey League (IHL) and American Hockey League (AHL) and made his debut in the National Hockey League on February 27, 1977 with the Rangers in two games. In the following three seasons, he strengthened the roster of Central Hockey League’s Salt Lake Golden Eagles and Dallas Black Hawks, followed by a stint with the Port Huron Flags in the IHL.\n', '
