During the 2011–12 season, Prosser was signed to a two-year contract extension on February 6, 2012. Prosser then scored his first NHL goal on February 7, 2012, against Curtis Sanford of the Columbus Blue Jackets. Later in the season Prosser headbutted Jamal Mayers during a scrum in front of the Chicago Blackhawks\' net. For his action he was suspended for one game.\n', '
