NAV, whose real name is Navraj Singh Goraya, is a Canadian rapper, singer, and producer. He was born on November 3, 1989, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to Punjabi immigrant parents.

NAV started his music career in 2015 by releasing a few tracks on SoundCloud. He gained popularity with the song "Take Me Simple", which was produced by Metro Boomin. He later collaborated with Travis Scott on the track "Beibs in the Trap" and released his debut mixtape "The Introduction" in 2016.

In 2017, NAV signed a deal with XO, the record label founded by Canadian singer The Weeknd. He released his self-titled debut album "NAV" in February of that year, which debuted at number 24 on the US Billboard 200 chart. The album was a commercial success and earned NAV a spot on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for music.

NAV continued to gain popularity with the release of his second album "Bad Habits" in 2019, which featured collaborations with The Weeknd, Young Thug, and Gunna. The album debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart, making it NAV's first number one album.

In addition to his solo work, NAV has also collaborated with other artists, including Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Durk, and Playboi Carti. He has also produced tracks for other artists, such as Travis Scott's "Yosemite" and Drake's "Back to Back".

NAV is known for his melodic style, often blending singing and rapping in his songs. His music is influenced by his Punjabi heritage, with many of his songs featuring Indian music samples and Punjabi lyrics.
