Pablo Picasso

Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, and stage designer who is considered one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. He was born in Malaga, Spain, on October 25, 1881, and showed an early talent for art.

In 1895, Picasso's family moved to Barcelona, and he enrolled in art school. He later attended the Royal Academy of San Fernando in Madrid, but he dropped out after just a year to pursue his own artistic vision.

Picasso's early work was influenced by his interest in traditional Spanish art and the work of contemporary artists such as Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and Edouard Manet. In 1901, he moved to Paris, where he quickly became a fixture in the city's art scene.

Picasso's style underwent a series of radical transformations over the course of his long career, and he is known for his pioneering role in the development of Cubism. He also experimented with a wide range of other styles and techniques, including Surrealism, expressionism, and neo-classicism.

Picasso was a prolific artist who produced thousands of works over the course of his career. Among his most famous works are "Les Demoiselles d'Avignon" (1907), "Guernica" (1937), and "The Old Guitarist" (1903-1904).

Picasso died in Mougins, France, on April 8, 1973, at the age of 91. His legacy as an artist and cultural icon continues to influence generations of artists and art enthusiasts around the world.
