Perry Archangelo Bamonte (born 3 September 1960) is an Anglo-Italian musician best known for his work with The Cure. He was briefly the bassist for Love Amongst Ruin.\n', '
Born in London, England, Bamonte first joined The Cure as a musician in 1990, replacing Roger O\'Donnell on keyboards, who abruptly quit after the Prayer Tour. He was originally a guitar tech for the band starting with the Disintegration album, which led to him being an obvious choice to replace the departed O\'Donnell. He later took up the role of playing dual lead guitar alongside singer Robert Smith following the departure of Porl Thompson in 1993. Bamonte helped to produce the albums Wish, Wild Mood Swings, Bloodflowers, and The Cure. He has been credited for writing the music for the songs "Trust" from Wish, "This Is a Lie" from Wild Mood Swings, and "Anniversary" from The Cure. He also appeared on the live albums Paris and Show as well as Trilogy. His younger brother, Daryl Bamonte, has also worked with The Cure as their tour manager and also for Depeche Mode in the same manner. (Bamonte also has a sister named Carla.)\n', '
In 2005, he and Daryl were abruptly fired from The Cure along with Roger O\'Donnell, and quickly replaced by Porl Thompson. \n', '
