Youngest brother to fellow North Adelaide footballer Peter Bennett, Shayne was a leading junior footballer for North Adelaide and was drafted by Victorian Football League (VFL) team Collingwood at the 1989 VFL Draft with the 56th selection.\n', '
Older Brother of fellow North Adelaide footballer Andrew Bennett, was also a Red Sox pitcher. He played for the North Adelaide Roosters for quite a while and still followers them. Andrew Bennett is the middle child of the Bennett Family.\n', '
